THREE fire crews from Essex were called out to rescue a horse which had got trapped in heavy mud.
The horse got stuck in Chignal Road, Chelmsford at about 11.30am today and a specialist support “strop” for animals was used to pull it free.
Two crews from Chelmsford and one from Colchester rescued the horse within about an hour.
