Last night two crews were called to Newnham Court, Ipswich, at about 9.10pm where a wooded area, 40m by 50m, was ablaze.

The crews found the area difficult to access, but the fire was under control by 9.55pm.

At about 2.40pm yesterday firefighters were called to a tree fire in Langer Road, Felixstowe.

When firefighters reached the flames they realised a rubbish bin was also alight.
