FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a tree fire, a tumble dryer fire and a fire in a wooded area in Suffolk.
At just before 3am today the fire service was called to Nacton Road in Ipswich where a tumble dryer was on fire. The flames were under control 55 minutes later.
Last night two crews were called to Newnham Court, Ipswich, at about 9.10pm where a wooded area, 40m by 50m, was ablaze.
The crews found the area difficult to access, but the fire was under control by 9.55pm.
At about 2.40pm yesterday firefighters were called to a tree fire in Langer Road, Felixstowe.
When firefighters reached the flames they realised a rubbish bin was also alight.
The fire was under control in just over ten minutes.
