FIREFIGHTERS tackled two vehicle fires in the early hours of today.

At 2.55am a crew from Needham Market was called to reports of a car on fire. The car, which was parked in a driveway in Upper Street, Baylam, was well alight when the crew arrived. They extinguished the flames and the incident was over by 3.35am. A nearby garage door also suffered some heat damage.

At 3.50am there was a van fire in Raeburn Road, Ipswich. Two teams of firefighters from Princes Street attended and the incident was finished by 4.10am.
