Firefighters had just finished tackling a house fire in Essex when they were diverted to deal with a crash on the same street.
Crews were first called to reports of a blaze in the ground floor of a house in Hatfield Road, Witham, just before 6pm this evening.
No one was in the property, no casualties were reported and the fire was under control shortly after 6.30pm. An investigation into its cause will be held.
As the crews finished their work, a motorcycle and car collided in the same street, leaving a man injured.
The firefighters gave first aid until paramedics from the East of England Air Ambulance arrived.
