Firefighters were called to help a bull stuck in a ditch in Elmswell this afternoon.
Emergency services were notified shortly after 2pm to the incident in Rattlesden Road, Drinkstone, after details were passed on by the RSPCA.
An appliance from Elsmewell along with a rescue vehicle and unimog from Bury St Edmunds arrived at the scene to find the 150 kilo bull stuck underneath a bridge made of railway sleepers.
Crews used small tools and winches to release the stranded creature, and had it free shortly before 5.30pm.
The crews had left the scene before 6.30pm.
