Flames take hold of crops

FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a blaze which engulfed an area of crop this evening.

The fire broke out in a field of oil seed rape in The Street in Great Wratting at around 5.22pm.

Two crews from Haverhill fire station tackled the flames which had taken hold of around ten metres of the bright yellow crop.

They had the incident under control by 5.35pm.
