This group of Lexden Girl Guides posed for our photo back in March 1967 - but where are they now.

Trevor Bailey spotted his sister in the photo and said: “It was a pleasant surprise to see my sister pictured in the photo in the EADT on March 31.

“She is Jeanette Rose (nee Bailey) and is on the extreme left as you look at the photo. She would have been 12 years old at the time.

“She tells me that next to her is Anne Dixie and the girl at the front looking at the certificate is Laura Snapes. Between Laura and the girl holding the certificate is Susan Nash.

“The only other name that she can remember is Liz Ryan, pictured at the front wearing a different uniform to the others.

“Jeanette thinks that Liz may have transferred in from abroad which would explain the different uniform.

“Jeanette still lives in Colchester but has no knowledge of the whereabouts of any of the other girls.”
