A full-size working Victorian carousel which used to be on Walton Pier is expected to fetch an estimated £100,000 at auction.
The attraction was the main feature on the pier for 60 years from 1948-2008, before going on display at the Yesterday’s World museum in Great Yarmouth.
Built in 1889 it is thought to have been part of a travelling fair.
It is now being sold at the Chippenham Auction Rooms under a sealed bid process on Wednesday.
Richard Edmonds, principal auctioneer, said: “It’s very rare such a well-preserved carousel comes on the market. We’ve been surprised by the high level of interest.”
