Four vehicles were involved in a collision on the A137 near Wherstead during the evening rush-hour today.
Police said no injuries were reported following the crash between the Bourne Hill junction and the B1456 The Strand junction at 5.20pm.
The inside lane was closed for around 45 minutes before re-opening shortly after 6pm.
No arrests were made.
