SUFFOLK firefighters were joined by colleagues from north of the border in tackling a blaze which started inside a barn.
A crews from Stradbroke were met by an engine from Harleston, Norfolk, at the scene of the fire, which broke out in Cratfield Road, Fressingfield, just before 1pm today.
They arrived, following reports of smoke and flames coming from a barn, to find an industrial deep fat fryer well alight, with the fire spreading to the 15m by 10m building.
Using two hoses and a dry powder extinguisher, they were able to fully extinguish and dampen down the flames before extensive damage was caused.
