A splendid ceremony has recognised the hard work and achievements of some Suffolk superstars.
The first ever Suffolk Coastal Community Awards ceremony was held at Hungarian Hall, near Woodbridge, in honour of the contributions made by individuals and groups to their communities.
More than 80 nominees were whittled down to 34 finalists, with 12 awards presented on the night.
Geoff Holdcroft, Suffolk Coastal’s head of leisure and economic development, said: “We wanted to recognise extraordinary achievements of the ‘ordinary people’, from all walks of life, who put in hours of hard work throughout the year to help others in the community. This year’s nominations certainly achieved that – it was a microcosm of what is so great about Suffolk Coastal. These are the people who help create the community spirit and quality of life that makes this district such a great place to live.”
