VISITORS to Framlingham Castle stepped back to the 15th Century as they witnessed the thud, thump and clash of a medieval tournament.
The Knights Tournament of Foote, staged by English Heritage over the weekend, saw the excitement and action of such a tournament recreated.
Visitors witnessed the chivalry and drama as teams competed in four rounds throughout the day – each one testing a different ability.
They included use of the spear, bow and arrow and a mighty sword.
There was also the chance to learn the finer points of medieval etiquette, or join in with the medieval townsfolk as they cheered on their heroes.
