A RAILWAY club’s annual exhibition saw around 800 people attend to find out more about the world of model trains.

The Stowmarket Railway Club event, in Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre, featured 14 different layouts in various scales.

David Vince, publicity officer for the club, said: “It went very well indeed. We had a good turnout, the numbers were slightly up on last year, which is encouraging. We had a variety of ages attend from children to more senior citizens who remember steam railways.”

Trade stands sold books, tools and models to enthusiasts.
