Thousands of people enjoyed two days of family fun, entertainment and warm summer weather at a country show at the weekend.

The Aldeburgh Country and Craft Show was hailed a huge success last year and this time around organisers Classic Festivals were expecting crowds of more than 7,000 at Friday Street Farm. The line-up for the main rings drew big audiences to enjoy the thrills of the Galloping Acrobats, demonstrations of high-speed chainsaw wood carving, sheep racing and falconry displays.

There was plenty to enjoy at a dog show, lots of stalls for people to browse, and cookery demonstrations to tickle the taste buds and give ideas for meals, plus music, and a children’s activity area.

Experts also gave a variety of talks at workshops, including gardens and wildlife, bee keeping, making a garden hedgehog friendly, and the beauty of trees, and foraging for free food.
