Girl hit by car

A TEENAGER was hospitalised after colliding with a van in Woodbridge this afternoon.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police said the 13-year-old girl ran out from behind a bus and collided with a vehicle. The incident, which involved a grey, Volkswagen Transporter, happened near the junction of Bury Hill and Bredfield Road, around 4.55pm. The teenager was taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance with a suspected fractured ankle. Police said no-one had been arrested in relation to the accident. Bury Hill and Bredfield Road are part of a housing estate situated off Woods Lane.
