A man is reported to have followed three girls into an alley in north Suffolk while exposing himself and performing a “lewd act”.

The girls, aged 12-15, had entered the alleyway called Rigbourne Hill Lane in Beccles at around 9.15pm on Wednesday, when they noticed a man following.

They began to run but one tripped over and noticed the man was exposing himself and committing the lewd act.

The victim shone her mobile phone torch in his face and the man is said to have turned and ran back down the alley towards Swines Green.

The suspect is described as white, 25-30 years old, around 5ft 5in tall, thin with short curly light brown hair. He was wearing knee-length navy shorts with a white stripe down the side.

The alleyway is opposite the Co-Op at the junction with High Leas.

Anyone potential witnesses who were in the area of the incident between 9pm and 9.20pm, or who has any information about this incident, is asked to contact East CID at Lowestoft Police Station on 101 quoting reference 69612/17, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
