Graves damaged in series of vandal attacks in Lowestoft

Several graves have been damaged by vandals in a spate of attacks in Lowestoft.

Ornaments have been stolen, items set alight and in a more recent attack paint was poured over a headstone on Sunday.

Suffolk police are asking people in and around Lowestoft cemetery to be vigilant and look out for people vandalising graves.

To report anyone seen damaging items in the cemetery call Lowestoft police station on 101.

Alternatively anyone with information on previous acts of vandalism in the cemetery should contact PC David Wardrop on 101 quoting reference LO/14/5774 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
