Great Barton: Three in hospital following collicion

A THREE car crash left two people trapped in their vehicle and a road blocked.

The crash involved a blue Vauxhall Corsa which had a head on collision with a blue Honda Civic at Hungry Hill on the A143 between Great Barton and Ixworth at 1.30pm this afternoon.

The Honda Civic ended up on its side in a ditch and its two occupants, a 82 year old man and 82 year old wife were helped from the wreckage by the fire service.

Emergency Medical Charity, Suffolk Accident Rescue Service was called out to assist the East of England Ambulance at the incident and the volunteer SARS doctor treated the couple and the 69-year-old female driver of the Corsa for minor injuries.

All three patients were taken to the West Suffolk Hospital for precautionary checks.
