FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a field on fire this afternoon.
Crews from Weeley, Brightlingsea and Clacton are in attendance at Sturricks Farm in Sturricks Lane, Great Bentley.
The alarm was raised just after 2pm this afternoon after two acres of stubble was reported to be alight.
Crews are using hose reels and beaters to extinguish the fire. An off road vehicle - the pinzgauer - has also been requested to the incident.
