Firefighters were called to a woman who got her fingers stuck in a sash window.
An Essex Fire Brigade crew from Wethersfield, supported by a Suffolk Fire Brigade crew from Clare fire station, went to the incident in Tilbury Road, Great Yeldham, at 1.16pm today.
Firemen used small tools to release the casualty before giving first aid and trauma therapy.
The crews had completed their work by 1.54pm.
