A HALESWORTH man in his 50s was flown to a specialist unit yesterday after suffering burns.
The man was flown to Broomfield Hospital, in Chelmsford, after suffering burns from a bonfire in the morning.
A spokesman for the East Anglian Air Ambulance service said the man was treated on scene with pain relief by the crew of Anglia One.
He said: “Doctors Chris Smith and Antonio Bellini assisted by critical care paramedic Ben Caine dressed the man’s wounds and gave him an anaesthetic before Captain Neil Waller flew them in just 20 minutes to the specialist burns unit at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford.”
