EASTBOURNE Eagles have opened talks with Grand Prix star Hans Andersen as they plan for next season's Elite League.

Eagles have confirmed they will be part of a nine-track top flight which will run along very similar lines to the 2009 campaign.

They are likely to stage most meetings on Thursday nights and have called on co-promoters Trevor Geer and Mick Bellerby to bring in extra sponsorship.

Eagles were given clearance by Peterborough to talk to Andersen, a world class performer who was recently handed a wild card for the 2010 GP series.

Initial discussions have already taken place.

Eagles believe they can bring in both the stylish Dane and Lukas Dryml , who spent last term on loan at Arlington, in exchange for Lewis Bridger , who has agreed terms with the Panthers.

It is not clear whether the swap would be for one season only or on a more permanent basis.
