A lifeboat crew spent the night towing a barge to safety after it broke down off the coast of Harwich.
Thames Coastguard received a call at 12.20am this morning, July 24, that a 60ft barge was experiencing engine trouble in the vicinity of wind turbines off Harwich.
Harwich RNLI Inshore Lifeboat was tasked and towed the craft to Ha’Penny Pier in Harwich arriving at around 6.30am.
It is not known at this stage how many crew were on the barge.
