Suffolk police on traffic duty.
Police have been called to help guide traffic around a 2ft wide and 3ft deep hole which has opened up in London Road South, Lowestoft.
Traffic officers were called at 4.30pm by concerned drivers.
Highways engineers have been contacted to deal with the problem and make emergency repairs.
