A prisoner who absconded from Hollesley Bay prison more than two weeks ago has been caught.
Lewis Powter, 30, was serving an indeterminate sentence for grievous bodily harm with intent for attacking a man with a 3ft machete in 2007. He was reported as no longer on the premises by the prison service on May 25 after he was not present for the 8pm roll call.
Powter was detained in the early hours of this morning, Monday June 9, by Cambridgeshire Police and is currently being held in custody.
