POLICE are appealing for help to trace two Hollesley bay prisoners who have absconded.

Luke Piggott, 23, and David Devlin, 21, went missing on Sunday, June 2 at 11am.

Piggott, from Houghton Regis in Bedfordshire, was serving a sentence for robbery after being jailed in 2007, while Devlin, from Ruislip in Middlesex, was serving a four-year six-month term for burglary.

As soon as officers were told the pair were missing, they contacted other constabularies where the men are known to have links including Metropolitan Police, Thames Valley, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Police.

Address checks were carried out on June 2 and have been since that time to try and locate them.

Piggott is white, around 5ft 9ins tall, medium build, with short dark hair and a receding hairline, brown eyes and had a goatee beard. He was wearing a grey high neck jumper and blue jeans.

Devlin is white, of similar height, slim build, with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a scar on his forehead.

Anyone who sees Piggott or Devlin should phone police with details and not approach them or take any further action.

Anyone who may have seen either of the men, or who may have information about where they are now should contact Suffolk police or their nearest police station on 101.
