A hooded street robber sliced the stomach of a teenage girl who refused to give up her phone.
The 16-year-old victim was walking between Peartree Road and Wheatfield Road, in Colchester, at about 2pm on June 3, when she was approached by a hooded teenage girl who demanded she hand over her phone.
When she resisted, the hooded girl assaulted her with what was believed to be a bladed weapon, causing a cut to her stomach.
The suspect, who ran off empty-handed, is described as white, in her late teens and wearing a blue hooded jumper.
