A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital this morning after he was bitten by a horse.

The 17-year-old suffered a “severe bite” following the incident in Moulton Road, Newmarket. It is unclear how the incident happened or whether the boy was riding the animal at the time.

A spokesman for the East Anglian Air Ambulance said the boy suffered a severe bite but that there was no serious bleeding. He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, for further treatment.
