Proposals to "carefully demolish" a Felixstowe bungalow to make way for a three-bed, three storey home have been submitted to East Suffolk Council.

The plans, which have been submitted by Plaice Design Company Ltd on behalf of a Mr A Waterhouse-Taylor, would see the redevelopment of 38 Berners Road and the provision of two new parking spaces featuring electric vehicle charging points.

The site sits within the Felixstowe Conservation Area and is currently occupied by a single storey, timber boarded dwelling with a small driveway.

Application documents claim the bungalow has "fallen into a state of disrepair and is in poor condition" - with the area currently being "overgrown and unkempt".

Plans would see the ground floor of the home feature a living room, WC, a lounge and a "generous" kitchen/dining space.

Two en-suite bedrooms, including a master bedroom, a family bathroom and a large storage cupboard would make up the first floor arrangement.

And on the second floor, there would be the third bedroom, a shower room and a study/office space.
