A joint investigation is due to be launched into the cause of a fire in a house in Jaywick in the early hours of this morning.
Two fire crews from Clacton were called to the scene, in Meadow Way, at about 2.30am following reports of the incident.
The firefighters on scene wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel to bring the fire under control.
It was extinguished by 2.45am.
Following the incident, a spokesman for the Essex County Fire and Rescue Service (ECFRS), said: “ECFRS and Essex Police will carry out an investigation to establish the cause of the fire.”
