Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery in Ipswich.
The incident happened in Friars Street at approximately 11am on Saturday, January 4.
An 18-year-old woman was walking towards Queens Street past a convenience store when a man approached her from the front and tried to grab her bag from her shoulder. The victim pulled it back and the offender ran off. The bag was not stolen.
The offender is described as a white man, was not clean shaven with dark coloured stubble and was wearing a black puffa jacket.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to call Ipswich Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
