Firefighters in Ipswich battled three separate fires in a wooded area last night.
Two crews from Princes Street were sent to Sandyhill Lane at 6.39pm yesterday following reports from motorists on the Orwell Bridge about a fire there.
The crews found three fires, one of which measured 600 square metres, another measured 150 square metres and the third measured roughly 100 square metres.
They used a hosereel, beaters and a water backpack to extinguish the fires which were under control by 7.35pm.
