Barton Electrical in Dales View Road has been voted top of its class according to a nationwide search by TheBestOf.
During the two-week campaign the company, owned by Graham Barton, was recommended by its band of loyal customers for its unbeatable customer service.
Mr Barton, who set up the business 40 years ago, said he prides the company on customer satisfaction.
“We strive to give first class service, so it is fantastic to know that we're getting our customer care so right,” he said.
“We are a large enough business to get the job done, but small enough to care - customer care and safety is paramount is this line of business.”
The Ipswich-based company beat off stiff competition to claim their prestigious prize, with more than 30,000 businesses from around 400 towns, spanning every business type - from hairdressers to bridal stores, to bouncy castles and architects - receiving nominations from their customers.
