POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Ipswich yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 3.15pm at the junction of Hervey Street and Norfolk Road.

A 19-year-old man was walking along the pavement and encountered two men standing by the junction. Two further men then approached him from behind. They demanded his mobile and cash, which were handed over by the victim.

The first male offender is described as of “Greek appearance or similar”, about 19-years-old, about 5ft 5ins, had a beard and was wearing a grey Adidas jacket.

The second male offender is described as white, in his early twenties, between 5ft 9ins and 6ft, of a large build and had a bruised eye.

The third male offender is described as of mixed race, approximately 6ft, of a slim build, had a shaven head and was wearing a navy scarf with white crosses.

The fourth male offender is described as of mixed race, in his early twenties, between 5ft 9ins and 6ft, had short hair and was wearing a blue jumper and faded jeans.
