A man and his dog have been bitten during an incident in Alexandra Park.

At around 1pm on July 2 the man and his dog were near the park entrance when he heard another man shouting.

The victim turned to see three Staffordshire bull terrier-type dogs run past him and attack his dog.

One dog was a sandy brown colour and the other two were both black and white.

The victim tried to pick up his dog and as he did he was bitten on the hand. The victim’s dog sustained an eight-inch wound to the neck.

The owner of the three dogs is described as a white man, with dark coloured hair, aged in his early 20s and slim. He was wearing dark coloured trousers and top.

He was with a woman aged in her early twenties and a male teenager who was described as being approximately 16-years-old.
