A man was cut with a knife in an attempted robbery in Ipswich.
A 25-year-old man was approached by another man who asked for some spare change in Rectory Road at around 11.45am yesterday.
The victim was holding a bag and the offender asked for it.
He then pulled out a Stanley knife from his pocket and the victim raised his arm, causing a minor cut.
The victim then ran off.
The offender was white, of medium build, around 5ft 7ins, aged in his late 30s, with dark scruffy hair, unclean appearance and was wearing a green long-sleeved hooded top.
Witnesses should call Ipswich Priority Crime Team on 101.
