A MAN is in hospital after he was assaulted in an Ipswich street, the ambulance service said.
The 43-year-old was attacked in Grove Lane shortly before 6.30pm.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said man was conscious and breathing at the scene.
He said the man was taken to Ipswich Hospital with head injuries but his condition was not serious and not thought to be life-threatening.
