ONE man has been remanded in custody and another bailed in connection with the robbery of a cash box from a security guard in Ipswich.
The incident happened at the Asda store in Stoke Park Drive on Saturday.
Nico Hurd, 21 of Worsdell Close, Ipswich and 18-year-old Jordan Bernard of Neath Drive, Ipswich appeared at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court yesterday after both charged with robbery.
The pair are due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on July 19 - they are yet to indicate a plea.
Police officers were called to the superstore at around 11.27am to reports a cash box had been stolen,
The female security guard was knocked over but was unhurt. The cash box was found close to where the robbery took place.
A man was arrested at Ipswich Docks around half an hour later and a second man was arrested at a house in Ipswich later on Saturday.
