DIVERSIONS are in place in Ipswich town centre this afternoon following a crash involving a Range Rover and a police vehicle.
The accident happened in Fore Street at 2.22pm and a police officer was taken to hospital with a minor neck injury.
The police vehicle - a Volvo car - was not on its way to an emergency call.
A section of Star Lane is closed in both directions while the scene is investigated.
A police spokesman said diversions were in place around Star Lane to help keep traffic moving in the town.
The spokesman confirmed that an investigation would be carried by the Road Policing Unit.
