THE police helicopter was called into action this morning to assist officers searching for a person reportedly seen on the Orwell Bridge.
Officers carried out a rolling roadblock across the bridge after the report was received at about 11.35am, causing delays for drivers, and the helicopter took an aerial view of the scene.
The search was unsuccessful and no sign of anyone was found on the bridge or the area below.
