POLICE investigating an alleged rape in Ipswich confirmed this morning they had arrested a man.

POLICE investigating an alleged rape in Ipswich confirmed this morning they had arrested a man.

The 22-year-old man was arrested at an address in the town at 7am on suspicion of rape. He is currently in custody at Ipswich Police Station awaiting questioning.

It follows investigations in to an incident that occurred in the early hours of February 25 in Murray Road, where a woman in her 20s was allegedly raped.
