The Ipswich Regent website has crashed after theatre bosses released tickets for a new Michael McIntyre tour date.

Comedy fans flooded the site after tickets for the performance, on October 4, 2018, went on sale at 10am today.

The 42-year-old burst onto the comedy scene in 2009.

Just three years later, the father-of-two was reported to be the highest-grossing comedian in the world.

The award-winning comic is currently in the middle of his world tour – between early 2017 and mid 2019, he plans to perform 104 shows in five continents.

Fans were told they could purchase their tickets for the Ipswich show from the Regent Box Office online.

Alternatively, you can call the theatre on 01473 433100 – however the line has been engaged for some time.
