STRIKING workers were out in force in Ipswich this morning as they showed their support for the 24-hour walk-out.

A group of teachers and civil servants gathered on the Cornhill before marching through the town centre to voice their anger at proposed changes to their pensions and job cuts.

The demonstration comes as more than 100 school and colleges across Suffolk were forced to close as a result of the action.
