THREE men have been arrested after counterfeit currency was spotted being used in shops in Ipswich.
The men were arrested shortly before 6pm yesterday on suspicion of fraud.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said the men were arrested thanks to the vigilance of store staff in the town.
She said a quantity of currency believed counterfeit has been seized.
The men, aged 15, 24 and 27 and from London are currently in custody at Ipswich police station where officers are waiting to question them.
