An application by police to have a drugs den in Ipswich closed was approved by magistrates yesterday.
A warrant was executed at the property in Gladstone Road on December 9, when a large quantity of Class A drugs was seized. Police applied for a closure order, which was heard at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday. The application was successful and as a result the premises will now be boarded up and people will be prohibited from entering it for three months.
Tristian Folkes, 24, from Park Avenue, London and Claire Brown, 33, from Gladstone Road, Ipswich, were both arrested and charged with possession with intent to supply class A drugs, heroin and cocaine.
They appeared before South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on December 10.
