Ipswich: Two men attacked by gang outside nightclub

Police are today hunting a gang who attacked two revellers outside a nightclub in the town.

The victims were kicked and punched by a group of five or six men near liquid, Cardinal Park, in the early hours of this morning.

One, a 20-year-old man from Ipswich, was taken to hospital with a possible broken hand, swelling to the right side of his face, a swollen lip, scratches to his cheek and cuts to his forehead.

The other, described as being in his 20s and also from Ipswich, was punched in the head, but received treatment at the scene.

Police were called by paramedics who reported a fight had broken out at about 2.15am.

Ofiicers are now appealing for clues as they attempt to track down the gang on suspicion of wounding with intent and assault.

The suspects are described as Asian, with one sporting a tattoo on his neck.
