Celebrate Ipswich, August 13-24

Local independent businesses in the town centre are competing for the title of ‘Favourite Independent’. Voting forms are available in paper, in-store or online via the Ipswich Star website.

C: Ipswich Has Got Talent

On-street music from Ipswich Has Got Talent and many other performers will be featuring across the town.

D: Green, Green Grass

This firm favourite in the summer calendar has returned. On Wednesday 22nd, Peter Pan will be showing on the big screen with picnic lunches encouraged and fairground rides for the children.

Celebrate the 30th Beer Festival in style, with over 180 beers to try and buy.

A host of fun fairground rides and games for all the family on the Quay.

Join in if you dare! A guided walk looking into the darker side of Ipswich’s history.

Be transported back to Georgian times for one weekend only, with musket firing and a Smugglers ‘sing song’ amongst the activities.

7: WWII & 1940s Home Front

Taking a look back to the impact of World War II and the impact it had upon Ipswich’s Waterfront – there will be interactive activities and historical re-enactments happening on the Saturday and Sunday.

For the first time ever, St Peter’s Street will be hosting a two-day market featuring an eclectic selection of vintage and craft stalls from local artisans.
