A woman remains in a critical condition in hospital after she was found with serious injuries following an assault.
The ambulance service called police at around 3.20pm yesterday to a property in Garrick Way, Ipswich, where the woman in her 40s was found unconscious.
She was taken to Ipswich Hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
A 55-year-old man, from Ipswich, was arrested at the scene and a 51-year-old man, also from Ipswich, was detained a short time later in Cromer Road.
Both were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody at Martlesham police investigation centre.
Cordons remain in place in Garrick Way and Cromer Road as detectives carry out further investigations today.
