Both the Met Office and Weatherquest reveal that we should be expecting an increase in temperatures over the next week, but could we be expecting an Indian summer?
A Met Office forecast has revealed that temperatures are set to rise again this week with highs of 23 degrees Celsius (73.4 Fahrenheit) in the region thanks to warm air rising from Spain to the UK.
In another video released by the national weather service, warm bursts of air have been shown rising from spain to the UK which has raised questions as to whether we’ll be having an Indian summer.
Adam Dury, a forecaster at Weatherquest, said: “Across Suffolk and Essex today it has been between 17-18 Celsius (62.6-64.4 Fahrenheit) and tomorrow will be between 17C-18C with a possible breeze.
“On Thursday it will be cooler at 16C (60.8F), Friday and Saturday will be between 20-21C (68-69.8F) and Sunday could reach upto 22-23C (71.6-73.4F)
“There will not be an Indian summer in the country as there has not been a frost-over.”
An ‘Indian summer’ is a period of warm and dry weather that occurs out of season, usually during autumn between September to mid-November.
