An Ipswich man will be lopping off his facial locks to raise money in remembrance of a friend who died from a rare muscular condition.
Julian Osborne, 43, has raised more than £2,000 already, before he braves the shaver at the County of Suffolk pub on Saturday.
The photographer was inspired to raise funds after friend and fellow snapper Douglas Allen Deacon died earlier this year, and will be donating the money to Muscular Dystrophy UK.
The event, which takes place at 8pm, also includes live music.
Mr Osborne said: “Douglas would definitely be proud. He had myasthenia which is quite a rare thing and it’s under the umbrella of muscular dystrophy so I really wanted to do something to help them.”
